An Introduction

Hello! I thought I'd take a few moments to introduce myself. For the past year or so, I have had the privilege to work alongside Mr. "
Nifty" Nate Kennedy, my technological mentor and close friend. While I haven't made many public appearances, I do try my best to keep things organized behind the scenes. Lately, I've been helping keep the
Nifty Nate's website up to date while Nate deals with some of the more 'hands on' aspects of the business that keep us in business.
Another project I've been working on is getting the
Nifty Nate's Newsletter up and running! This will be a monthly e-newsletter with the latest technology news, exclusive specials, as well as friendly tips and tricks on using your electronics. If you are interested, you can sign up by

Integration via Google

Nifty Nate's will be doing some spring cleaning!
You may have noticed that the website hasn't changed all that much over the winter. This has been the result of an unexpected burst in local activity - who could have known that the cold season is good for a computer business?
Needless to say, we never saw it coming, but now your favorite retro-technicians will be making a greater effort to bring the latest and greatest features into our company, specifically to better serve our customers!
One of the first steps is the deeper integration of Google-controlled services.
I can't tell you enough how easy and convenient it is to take advantage of the services offered by this company. You can manage your calendar agenda, business interactions, weblogs, and so much more. Google owns YouTube. Google owns Blogger. Google owns an awful lot of things, but the most important thing is that they aren't evil about it. This isn't some monstrous umbrella corporation bent on taking over the world with their control of popular multimedia.
Google is a nice company, and NiftyNate's wholely endorses the use of their services.
Did you know that Google makes the Android mobile operating system?
It's true. Every phone that uses Android is in some form a product of Google. Android phones can directly integrate with existing Google features, including your calendar and email.
Don't fear those big colorful letters... They're here to help!

Making A Note: Huge Success!

It's hard to overstate my satisfaction with the results of this new Referral Program.
The discount feature was very well received, and we have been receiving new customers as a result. The system is working!
As promised, the yellow cards have been printed, and the program has been adjusted so that the friend
delivering the card also gets a 10% discount!
So now you could, in theory, get 100% off if your ten friends signed up, OR if ten people manage to each give the same friend a unique card (unlikely, but possible)!
Here at
Nifty Nate's, we're happy to have your business. Please, don't be shy!

New Referral Program!
Posted at 5:51 AM on
Friday, January 7, 2011
Hi there, everyone.
Starting this month, a new referral program is starting!
From now on, for every friend you send to
Nifty Nate's Computer Repair that mentions you, a 10% discount will be applied to your next service appointment. This means that 5 friend referrals would earn you 50% off, and 10 would make the job completely free!
So tell your friends all about it, and make sure they mention you when they come to see us at
Nifty Nate's.
If this program takes off as we hope it will, there will be a new type of card you can receive to help keep track of your recommendations. This would be a yellow version of the
Nifty Nate's business card with a place to write your name. You would simply give the card to your friend (after writing your name) and make sure they give it to us!

Bus Troubles
Posted at 1:36 PM on
Sunday, December 5, 2010
The bus consumes a large portion of NNCR interests lately.
It fell out of focus for a while during other pursuits, and now that we're back on track with it, it won't start!
It could just be the cold, but it's not turning over. We'll be calling our diesel specialist tomorrow.

After some delays that ultimately were planned and intentional, the Gigabus is ready to get moving.
Keep an eye out for the big red bus around the Hyannis area this November.

The Gigabus registry problem was corrected last week. It is now due for an inspection and some minor repairs before it can start touring around the Hyannis area. Look for it this November!
